The Council of Ministers has approved the royal decree law that guarantees the labor rights of people dedicated to delivery in the field of digital platforms, known as 'riders' . The text gives legal status to the agreement reached on March 10 between the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and trade union and business organizations at a Social Dialogue table. It is about providing protection to workers who provide services under forms of organization and business management other than the traditional ones, although in a regime of dependency and third party, subject to control of processes and results. The rule modifies the consolidated text of the Law of the Workers' Statute, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of October 23, and determines the presumption of employment of the activities of delivery or distribution of any type of product or merchandise to through the algorithmic management of the service or working conditions through a digital platform.
